FREE RIDE USA - During the 1950s, the network of railway lines in USA was modernized because of new diesel locomotives. This allowed people to travel to the major cities to visit beautiful old and new structures worth to see. In Free Ride USA, you are taking charge of rebuilding the railway lines and carry passengers to the cities. Your railway lines and state-owned railway lines are free of charge, while you must pay fellow players to convert their lines into state-owned railway lines. Choose travel routes from an open display of city cards and gain additional coins for the long east-west connections. Visit as many different cities of America as possible to gain the most victory points. TO COLLECT PASSENGERS, you can choose from an open display of city cards representing different travel routes of passengers. Move your train to one of the cities on display and choose that travel route by picking up this starting city card together with the destination city card. When your train arrives at the destination, you fulfll this travel route and gain victory points for both cards at the end of the game. Free Ride USA is PLAYED IN THREE PARTS: Prologue, Main Game, and Finish. During the Prologue, choose your first travel route and place your train in the matching starting city. In the Main Game, rebuild rails that connect cities with railway lines, move your train from city to city to fulfll travel routes, or take rail tokens. On your turn, choose 1 of the following 3 actions: • Rebuild rails: spend up to 2 construction points to connect the cities by rebuilding railway lines. If you need additional rail tokens while rebuilding, you can pay 1 coin to take 5 rail tokens from the supply. • Ride the train: move your train up to 2 cities along rebuilt railways to fulfll your travel routes. • Take rail tokens: take 5 rail tokens from the supply without spending a coin.
