Easy to use prepoured agar plate science kit. NO pouring your own plates, which is time consuming. This is an excellent science kit to learn microbiology and great for science projects. Each plate is coated with a thick nutrient rich agar! See improved results compared to other products. The thick agar surface prevents cracking and drying of the plates as seen with other kits. You will absolutely love your kit. Kit Contents: 1. 10 pre-poured nutrient rich agar plates. 2. 10 cotton tipped sticks. 3. 1 plastic vial to be used in experiments. 4. 1 transfer pipette. Basic Instructions: 1. Unopened plates can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. 2. Take out agar plates and let them warm up to room temperature for about 1 hour. 3. Get a cotton tip stick. Wet the cotton tip with water if you are going to be testing dry areas for better results. 4. Swab different objects (e.g. phone, sink, etc.). 5. Gently wipe the cotton tip contents onto the surface of the agar plate. 6. Close the lid and turn the plate upside down so that the lid is on the bottom and agar is on the top. 7. Incubate plates at 84-100°F using a portable heater or a desk lamp. Keep a thermometer nearby. 8. See exciting results! Results should be visible in 1-4 days. This product is intended for ages 15 years and older.
