Christopher Plattner lives in North Carolina with his wife, 3 children, and 2 dogs. He wrote the kid's book for his middle son, who was having difficulty going to sleep at night without anyone in the room with him (which is hard for parents!) as he was afraid of monsters getting him when he fell asleep. After seeing how much it helped his son, Christopher decided to use the concept to help other parents with young children who had trouble sleeping in their bedroom alone. He created the Chomphog plush toy to go with the book, so children can have the cute plushie that protects them while they sleep. Chomphogs on Guard is a storybook about how a boy named Colby found a miniature spaceship in the woods with his dad and brought it to their house. When Colby opened the spaceship, he discovered a couple of friendly aliens called Chomphogs from the planet Phlog. As luck would have it, these aliens protect little children and love to eat monsters and other scary creatures while children sleep. Once the Chomphogs were 'on guard' in his room, Colby knew he was safe and slept all through the night for the first time! Since then, Colby wanted all his friends to have their own Chomphog to protect them. The book comes with 2 Chomphogs - one large and one small. The large one is the protector and the small one is to give to a good friend to protect them at night until they can get their own large Chomphog. Our children’s book and stuffies are also a perfect gift for any boy or girl who likes cute stuffed animals and enjoys kids’ books. The child can choose to either snuggle with the Chomphog or place it anywhere in the room, where monsters could be hiding. It also brings great comfort during travels or shared parenting.
