Each card you play has some amount of influence and when a Pool spills over, the player with the most influence in that Pool wins a Score card that is worth points at the end of the game. Some cards also have actions that might bump adjacent cards into different Pools, or let you swap a card from your hand and steal the Score card at the last second!
